November 2011: A rather unique vehicle goes into build for the leading designer goods retailer Cath Kidston. This will feature a unique external design to create maximum impact at venues and on board will be a full display and sales area. This vehicle will commence attending events from early 2012
New mobile showroom for leading furniture company
October 2011: Freeway Trailers Ltd have sourced a secondhand mobile library for conversion to an exciting mobile showroom for Corndell Furniture, who are one of the UK's leading designers and manufacturers of quality furniture.
Another mobile showroom in build
September 2011: We have another mobile showroom in build that is designed to carry more than 1000 products on display. This showroom, for Windhorse, will also contain heating and air conditioning for trade clients to feel comfortable all year round.
New Equine Diagnostic Vehicle for Towcester Veterinary Centre
August 2011: This month sees the start of work on a mobile equine diagnostic mobile for Towcester Veterinary Centre, who offer a specialist equine service.
New trailer for Leica Geosystems Ltd
July 2011: Leica Geosystems Ltd have ordered a new 3 metre trailer from Freeway Trailers Ltd. This small trailer has been designed specifically to be car towable and easy to set up. First event will be SALTEX.
New 7 metre trailer for Terex
July 2011: Terex have commissioned the build of a new 7 metre trailer with entrance platform and canopy, extension pod and luxury interior fit out. This trailer willl be a 3500 kgs model with 7 metre body length.
New service supplying ex mobile libraries
July 2011: Due to the shortage of suitable second hand vehicles for conversion we have this month introduced a new service specialising in sourcing and stocking ex mobile libraries. These range from 4500 kgs to 14 kgs models
Refurbishment for "New Hope"
June 2011: Over the years we have undertaken a wide range of jobs for Faith based charities for whom we either supply new or second hand vehicles for their charitable work. In this instance, we are refurbishing and repairing a vital outreach vehicle for the New Hope Church in Leeds.
5 metre trailer for Kingston Communications
May 2011: This month we have completed a very versatile 5 metre tandem axle exhibition trailer for Kingston Communications designed to promote the broadband services offered by the Company.
Another export project
April 2011: Each year we export a number of specilaist exhibition trailers to the EU and further afield. This month has seen us find a suitable 10 metre articulated trailer for a client in Poland.
A really unusual Pinzgauer
March 2011: Even for us this is an unusual brief. A client has asked us to remove the existing body of his vintage Pinzgauer and replace it with a fully insulated panel body with shaped front. This then being transformed into a mobile multi purpose vehcile and camper.
A major rebuild and refurbishment project
February 2011: Freeway Trailers Ltd has been tasked with the job of re-designingand refurbishing the 13.6 metre exhibition trailer belonging to Cummins Ltd. This work will include a complete rebuild of the galley area and the installation of a new display space. At the same time repairs are to be made to the upper viewing gallery.
New 7 metre trailer commissioned for the Central office of Information
January 2011: A Freeway 7 metre turntable steer trailer with extension pod and platform has been orered for use by the Central Office of Information. The trailer is to form a key part in the presentation of the proposed high sped rail link between London and Birmingham.
Large mobile shoowroom based on a DAF 15 Tonne truck
November 2010: For this client we have created an unusual rear entry design whereby entrance steps slide out enabling visitors to walk up onto a small veranda before passing into the showroom via full width patio doors. The showroom features a decorative suspended ceiling with recessed spot lights highlighting the elctronic equipment on display against the walls.
Another specialist TRAILTREK animal welfare vehicle
October 2010: Our TRAILTREK range of animal wlefare vehicles is proving to be a hit within the animal welfare world and this month sees the addition of a mobile gromming vehicle to the range. Built for Wuffers it is based in a Vauxhall Movano long wheelbase high roof van.
A most unusual commission
September 2010: Work has started on one of our more unusual commissions. We have been tasked with a project to convert an ex Woolworths delivery trailer into a luxury lakeside cottage. We have started to do this by reducing overall height (to comply with local planning regulations) and then manufactured a shaped roof to add character. Twin extension pods are being fitted to provide a large internal floor space. There is to be an open plan living and dining area linked to separate bathroom and bedroom.
New veterinary surgery for Carrottops Rabbit Rescue
August 2010: Freeway Trailers delivered its latest Trailtrek Mobile Veterinary Surgery to Gloucestershire based animal rescue charity Carrottops Rabbit Rescue. Based on a second hand Long Wheel Base Ford Transit the surgery is fully fitted to facilitate a wide range of surgical procedures.
It will be used in the County to provide affordable veterinary care to those on limited means with animals in need of veterinary assistance.
New training vehicle for SLIC training
July 2010: Another Freeway Training Vehicle has been completed, this one a box body build on an Iveco Daily chassis 35C13 chassis cab. The client is Chesterfield based training company SLIC Training.
The vehicle is different to most that Freeway produce in that the cab is integral to the body, featuring swivel seats this offers more seating in a small area.
Equipment included in the vehicle is a plasma screen with smart board attachment plus and all important drinks dispensing machine designed to keep students refreshed and wake!
New demonstration vehicle for Firebird Boilers
June 2010: Market leading boiler manufacturer and supplier Firebird has just taken delivery of their new mobile demonstration vehicle which is based upon a Fiat Ducato 35 maxi cab. Created to enable a maximum of 4 boilers to be displayed the vehicle also has a built in demonstration solar panel.
This is a working display and hot water is generated for visitors to experience the boilers in action. Touring builder sand plumbers merchants the vehicle will be active throughout the country.
Dogs Naturally order new mobile shop
June 2010: One of our more unusual challenges! Dogs Naturally have just taken delivery of their new lightweight mobile pet shop. Based on a single axle trailer chassis this sales trailer will be visiting venues throughout the west midlands. It features swing out shelving displays with canopy and even has a separate stock room.....but fold up small enough to be car towable!
Double deck trailer supplied to 02
June 2010: When communications giant 02 needed a double deck trailer in a hurry there was not time to contemplate building one for them. Freeway used its extensive European resources to locate the ideal trailer in Spain and arranged viewing and transport to the UK. The trailer was then fully fitted out and externally wrapped and on the road in record time.
It is now travelling throughout the country on a massive nationwide roadshow campaign.
East Anglian based training company buys fleet of vehicles from Freeway Trailers
June 2010: Poultec Training based in Mattishall, Norfolk, has just taken delivery of 3 training vehicles. The first is to be used for general information and consultation whilst another has been fitted out as a full mobile IT training suite.
The third vehicle is completely fitted out with commercial catering equipment and will be used to combine practical catering training with the provision of hospitality at venues. Giving students the experience of real field based catering.
APC the overnight parcels company
May 2010: The leading overnight parcels delivery company APC has just taken delivery of their new multi purpose Freeway exhibition / internal training vehicle, based upon a Mercedes cab. The vehicle features a rear entrance door and side opening gull wing to enable the vehicle to be used in closed mode for private training or open in exhibition mode at events.
Computer work station and freestanding seating are included as part of the interior fit out. A built in generator makes the vehicle fully self sufficient
New Trailtrek animal ambulance delivered to The Society for Abandoned Animals
May 2010: The Society for Abandoned Animals in south east Manchester has just taken delivery of their new Fiat Doblo animal ambulance which is fitted with twin dog cages and 9 small animal carrying baskets. Ideal for transporting a variety of small animals the ambulance will be used for general purpose transport and rescue work.
New vehicle built to demonstrate Vending machines
April 2010: An Indoor event at the NEC was the launch venue for a new Iveco Daily based demonstration and sampling vehicle for leading vending machine company Refreshment Systems. The new demonstration vehicle features a range of the company's vending machines, all of which are full working models dispensing samples drinks...and tasty they are!
The vehicle features a large glazed extension pod which provides an open interior in which cafe style seats and tables are arranged for sampling and discussion of the product range.
Following its launch event the vehicle will fulfil a very heavy roadshow commitment.
Exports to Holland and Spain
March 2010: Each year Freeway is actively involved in exporting exhibition trailers to European countries and 2010 has proven no exception. During the first quarter of the year exports have included trailers being shipped to Holland and to Spain.
Exhibition trailer completed for Anglia Fireplaces and Design Ltd
February 2010: Leading supplier of up market fireplaces and log burning stoves, Anglia Fireplaces and Design Ltd based near Cambridge have recently taken delivery of their new 6 metre demonstration trailer. Based on a turntable steer chassis this 6 metre trailer is fitted with hinged canopy and drop down platform.
The challenge here was to build the trailer in such a way that the all long burning stoves on board could be used simultaneously. It all works...but it does get rather warm on board! A great advantage for winter roadshow activity
New Lightweight articulated trailer completed
January 2010: A stunning 9 metre lightweight articulated trailer has just been launched by the University of Salford to provide a very wide roadshow service throughout the North West. The trailer features a glazed gull wing extension to the nearside with extension pod to the off side.
Inside this exhibition trailer has an open spacious design to allow it to be used for a wide range of functions. A small reception area with galley facilities is located on the neck.
Travelworld take delivery of 4 metre exhibition trailer
January 2010: Travelworld have purchased a superb second hand trailer form the extensive Freeways stock of used exhibition trailers. The 4 metre exhibition trailer is ideal for hospitality at outdoor events and will be used by the company on a roadshow promotional campaign throughout the country
