Whilst few of us will find the planning for the challenges of 2009 easy, we cannot just sit back. So for all of us at Freeway Trailers Ltd the start of the new year has been one of high activiity as we grow and extend the services which we offer.

February 2009 ...........ORSY MOBIL Vehicle Equipment from Wurth

The Freeway manufacturing team have recently been Approved and appointed as one of a select group of companies who are to become the driving force behind the launch of Orsy Mobile vehicle storage systems in the UK. As one of the small band of Approved Installers the company can now offer the complete range of van racking and storage systems that are the market leaders throughout most of mainland Europe.

This range includes cargo space lining, storage drawers and cabinets, shelving and much more. All of which can be custom fitted for each trailer and vehicle.

Whilst the WURTH brand is very well known in the UK automotive industry the Orsy Mobil side of the business is not so famous...even though well established elswhere in Europe.

Following intensoive training at the Wurth Headquarters in Germany our design and installation team can prepare computer generated plans and visuals, however individual the job. We can tackle single van projects or fleets of vehicles.

February 2009.............MERCEDES BENZ Dog Vans

We are really excited to announce our partnership deal with Intercounty Truck and Van Ltd who are one of the largest Mercedes-Benz van dealerships in the country.

With our experience of veterinary ambulances, mobile surgeries and pet transporters we are delighted to have been asked to supply all interior kennels and cabinets for Intercounty's Dog Vans. Ideal for Breeders who want a reliable and stylish vehicle we can provide any facilities required for their dogs.

January 2009...........MiX Telematics Ltd

Freeway Trailers Ltd have linked up with Mix Telematics Ltd to offer the installation of the FM Protector as an optional feature in all of its exhibition trailers, special vehicles and van conversions.

The FM Protector, which requires no special software systems, provides complete vehicle tracking. The built in security sensors detect possoble theft, tamper and tow-away occurrences and immediately sends back text (SMS) or e-mail notifications to a contact list.

In addition to the security that this system provides, the ability to realtime track the progress of the trailer or vehicle is provided by fast and accurate GPS positioning.

It's a brilliant system which can provide a wealth of diffferent benefits to different operators. For those with just one or two trailers the security it affords is perhaps the key reason for installation. For those who operate fleets of trailers it is the perfect way for cost effectively tracking fleet movements which, once analysed, can lead to increasing effciency and customer service.

January 2009...........Royal Navy take delivery of first of a fleet fo new trailers

The first of a new fleet of recruitment trailers were launched in style at the London Boat Show by special guest Helen MacArther ably supported by the crew of HMS Westminster. The two 7 metre exhibition trailers will be seen at events around the country and are designed to work together or operate independently.

Further trailers and vehicles for the Royal Navy are currently in build.
